Andrew Reaches The Other Side
Author(s):
Peter Mercurio
A different kind of coming-out/coming-of-age story that revolves around Andrew, a young man who has a passion for sports, and whose life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a stranger who is "just like him."
When Andrew’s best friend, John, dies, Andrew must finally admit to himself the attraction and desire he had toward John. By pure luck—or perhaps divine intervention—Andrew meets Danny, a guy who is strikingly similar to John. Andrew's conversation with Danny about football and Bruce Springsteen propels him to finally admit his desires. Through memories, fantasies, and resistance, as well as through the loving, comical interference of his other friends, Skip and Laurie, and his parents, Andrew embarks on a journey to get a second chance at finding love.
